     Maire Reeves I don’t actually know the rules of football but I have been to a few matches to watch our team play, and even I could tell they were good players. Congratulations to all the team and to coach, Ian.

  • These kids are amasing, well worth watching the game.
  • I’m looking forward to meeting some people at the ‘Pictures Tell stories’ sessions on Tuesday mornings, 10.30 – 12.00 noon at the Salvation Army hall in Pyle Street. Newport, IOW where they are letting me use a room….and the bonus is they have a cafe too! See ‘Pictures tell Stories’ facebook page.
  • They were amazing! The children from St Saviours, Hunnyhill and Haylands primary schools. They entered the Mini Enterprise scheme – this year run by Vectis Sunrise Rotary Club and put on excellent presentations. There was little to choose between them but St Saviours won by a whisker with the others in joint second place. Fabulous.

  •  What an amazingly high standard these children achieved. Well done and thankyou to all the teachers and supporters.
     It’s a privilege to work with young people who are so enthusiastic and made the whole competition enjoyable.

  • The paperwork is coming in for the Mini – Enterprise competition. 4 schools are taking part this year.
  • We had a wonderful evening celebrating in style at the New Holmwood Hotel – It’s had to be done – especially as it was the 1oth anniversary of the Vectis Sunrise charter! Here’s to many more years of fun, fellowship and fundraising.
  •  What a fun evening we had.
     

     WE WELCOMED AN OVERSEAS VISITOR, ROBERT EYCKEN, FROM ROTARY CLUB OF MANSFIELD VICTORIA AUSTRALIA.ROBERT WHO IS THE SHELTER BOX COORDINATOR IN HIS DISTRICT GAVE A PRESENTATION ON SHELTER BOX AND THEIR WORK IN JAPAN, NEW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIA.EXCHANGING CLUB BANNERS WITH ROBERT IS OUR PRESIDENT ANNE WATTS, ANDY MCQUILLAN AND ALEX COOKE
